"A hazardous choice on a family trip generates cascading events that leave a teen struggling to survive in the Oregon wilderness....Rendered with exquisite sensory detail, this hero’s journey is a resonant read for unsettling times." (Kirkus review)

I can't wait to introduce you to thirteen-year-old Francie, who becomes stranded on a remote road in the Oregon wilderness when the family's truck breaks down.

A story of survival and resilience, Red Fox Road is the novel I wanted to read when I was thirteen and dreamed of doing brave things. For readers 10-14 years old, or for anyone who still feels close to the thirteen-year-old they were. Read more here.

Shelter, is the story of two sisters, Maggie and Jenny, and their quest to find out what happened to their mother who left them to billet in Williams Lake, a small town in British Columbia, and didn't come back. Set in the 1960s and 70s in the wilds of the Chilcotin, where it's still possible to lose yourself, the novel explores the attachment we have to our mothers, and the expectation we hold that they will always be our mothers, and nothing more.
